Lacquer is designed to protect the outer and inner surfaces of all types of tin cans and lids from electrolytic and hot tin plating.

After polymerization at t = 210 - 215℃ for 15 min lacquer forms a glossy golden coating, resistant to boiling and sterilization in aggressive environments.

Used in a set with a thinner R-30, applied by the roller coating machines, the consumption of dry residue - 4,5-5,5 g/m2.

 

Specifications of lacquer EP-547
  1. Appearance of lacquer. Homogeneous transparent liquid from dark yellow to red-brown color, slight opalescence is allowed.
  2. Appearance of the film. After drying, the lacquer forms a homogeneous glossy film of golden color without any foreign mechanical inclusions.
  3. Conventional viscosity according to the viscometer VZ-246 with nozzle diameter (4,000 ± 0,015) mm at temperature (20,0 ± 0,5) ℃ : within 90-140 sec.
  4. Mass fraction of non-volatile substances: 36-43%
  5. Film tensile strength: 7 mm.
  6. The strength of the film during stamping: without disturbing the continuous coating.
  7. Film resistance to sterilization at (120 ± 2) ℃, h, not less than:
    In distilled water - 1;
       In a 3% solution of sodium chloride - 1;
       In a 2% solution of tartaric acid - 1;
       In a 3% solution of acetic acid - 1.
  8. Adhesion of the film before and after sterilization, scores, not more: 1.
  9. Mass fraction of chemical substances in a solution containing 0.5% acetic acid and 2% sodium chloride after sterilizing the lacquer film and holding in the model medium for 24 hours at a temperature (40 ± 2) ℃, mg/dm3, not more:
       Formaldehyde - 0.1;
       Phenol - 0.05;
       Diphenylolpropane 0.01;
       Epichlorohydrin - 0.1;
       Lead salts are absent.
  10. Resistance of the lacquer film to the effect of the model medium after sterilization and holding in a thermostat at a temperature of (40 ± 2) ℃: 10 days.
  11. Porosity is absent.
  12. Drying time to grade 3 at 210-215 ℃: no more than 15 minutes.
