Binders for foundry industry

Since 2009 "Khimlex" company has produced binders for foundry industry «Lexelit» for CO2 and for cold hardening resin binders process
The aim of the production is to replace foreign-made products. Our products have been successfully testified at a few domestic enterprises in the foundry industry.
It is supplied to LLC «NPP Technology», JSC «Azovelectrostal», LLC«Polihim», JSC «Stal» etc.

The ultimate tensile strength of samples made of a sand-resin mixture with a component ratio:
- quartz sand -100 weight part
- resin Lekselite-СО2 - 2,5-3,0 weight part
- carbon dioxide - pressure 0,3-0,4 atm,

blowing speed 5-6 l/min, blowing for 30-60 sec.

Determined after 1 minute after blowing (instant strength), MPa (kgf/cm2)

When using binder Lekselite-CO2 on a production site with a temperature above the regulated one, it is recommended to reduce it to a temperature of 20-25°C before use.

When using binder Lekselite-CO2 at a temperature below 0°C, it must be kept at room temperature for 1-2 days before reaching the temperature of 20-25°C. To accelerate the process, the product can be heated to a temperature of 20-25°C. The temperature of the coolant should not exceed +50°C. After reheating, the product should not be stored for more than 1 hour at elevated temperature to avoid build-up of viscosity.
